No repo grilles for 73-80 GMC.

I sold a NOS grille last year, I should've kept it. I picked up a nice used one this weekend on CL but they are hard to find in one piece.

They are nearly impossible to find uncracked and when you do expect to pay $400 and up for one. I am always on the search for them. Good luck on your hunt!

Looks like there is two different ones for 1979, 3 for 1980... I use these parts catalogs to get the number and then call dealerships. I know a lot of parts have been liquidated but every now and then I get lucky and some dealership is hanging onto some dusty ol' NOS part.

I am like 1774btcrew, I have 4 or 5 in my attic in storage, everyone has some sort of crack or missing piece. I used the best one, and using 2 part epoxy glued the cracks and missing pieces in place, then sanded and painted the grill. I figure I have enough to do this at least 2 more times. I look for these grills every time I am at a swap meet.

I actually have 3 of these grilles. I just can't decide which to use on my truck. 2 are nice and not broken and the 3rd I have fixed. I am tempted to use the repaired one as it now looks really nice and I wouldn't feel too bad if it got broken. On my other train of thought, I have a TON of hours into my truck and have been doing everything else right so maybe it should have a nice original grill.

Re: need help find original grill gmc

They have some real nice parts and some hard to find ones too. They even have the clear sidemarker lenses (white) that a lot of guys like (not the euro LMC ones) for dirt cheap!

Man, I didn't think anyone still had NOS stock. Especially grills. They are expensive, but relatively cheap for a NOS grill.
