Amp wire routing

While I am waiting for my windshield installer to grace me with his presence I thought I would work on my stereo installation. I have relocated the battery to the frame rail on the passenger side. My speaker box will be where the cab fuel tank was. Since they recommend connecting the amp to a fused connection directly to the battery I am trying to figure out the best route. Looking for suggestions on how to route the wiring. Thanks

I looked at using the cab corner but the cab brace is in the way.

Re: Amp wire routing

Would it work to use the hole and grommet where the original fuel line passed through the cab floor?

Re: Amp wire routing

I am going to mount an amp behind the seat, I too am relocating the tank to under the bed. This was where I was going to route my power cable, but I was thinking of installing a second battery in the factory location opposite of the one already there.

Re: Amp wire routing

The old fuel line hole does sound like a good idea. But I may have filled in the hole. Based on the picture it looks like the hole is on the passenger side about 8 inches in from the frame rail. Does that sound about right?

Re: Amp wire routing

You can see it in this replacement floor panel. It's pretty close to the center of the cab, but it is slightly toward the passenger side.

Re: Amp wire routing

Well I looked and I did fill it in. So I'm thinking of drilling a larger hole were the screwdriver is at. Down side is I will also need to enlarge the hole in the rear cab support rail. But it will get me within 18" of the battery so the wire runs will be short.
