71 C30 Super trim question - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

My C30 was a motor home. It is a Cheyenne Super, but there is no side trim on the cab. All that is listed on the spid is paint stripe.

Curious if this is something the owner ordered this way, or did all motor homes come with just a paint stripe even it was a Super?

I think it would look good with at least the lower woodgrain trim and keep the paint stripe.

When a cab and chassis was ordered any standard body side moldings were deleted. You could not order moldings on a 69-72 cab and chassis. The paint stripe was the only option to dress up the exterior.

As a side note, The paint stripe option wasn’t available on a Cheyenne Super with a fleetside bed because upper and lower moldings were part of the Super package.

Good stuff, thanks for sharing. I had no idea C&C deleted the moldings on a super. Learned my new thing for the day!
