Tailgate
Started to install the tailgate chains on my friends truck, 😳 , what a shocker, not sure how the factory did it, no room for a wrench through the access slot to put the retaining nut on….maybe have to get a cheap wrench and modify it to fit….hoping not to reinvent the wheel here…..

That's where the reinforcement plate should sit and take the bolt.
I had to rebuild mine, there weren't any.
