Problem someone tried to drill/punch out my drivers side lock whats the best way to be able to keep my same key get a used lock cylinder and get it keyed to match? or buy a new re-manufactured one, i have read that the remans dont fit the best in the old handles. Thanks in advanced.

Does your key have a code number stamped on it? (Some do, some don't) If it does, I have a door lock you can have if you want to pay postage on it. If the key doesn't have a code number on it you would have to send me a key so I can key my door lock like your other locks.....

I was going to say wait for LockDoc...But his strike was faster than mine!

LockDoc may have a complete new set to replace all three with a new key, which I think is a good idea to eliminate the possibility of spare keys being around town. Plus with a complete new set there will be no wear in the cylinders and on keys.

I had to replace both door locks on my 1970 C10 yesterday.(some a$$ h%%%) stole my keys. Biggest problem was getting the door panel off. I bought new locks from A Z for $17. It took about 30 minutes per door. Not a difficult job. Note how the old lock sets in before taking it out. You will need a part from the old lock to place on the new lock.

I haven't had a chance to deal with it have 2 used locks with key that I picked up from a friend just need to sit Down and figure it all out

While you have the door panels off it would be a good time to put sound deadner inside the doors.

And lube all of the window rollers, tracks, door latches and remotes. Basically anything in there that moves....

No I don't. White lithium gets as hard as a rock after a while. I just use a good penetrating oil with Teflon in it. I have used general purpose grease but it attracts a lot of dirt and grime.....
