The dude is talkin out his @ss. (or been misinformed)
The Camper Cruiser was a canadian deal if I remember right. The fenders should have the funny (funny to us anyways) 920 or what ever the designation should be for canadian trucks instead of the 2500 we know about.
A 2 ton frame? huh uh.
10 made....ask for proof. He's in florida, whats the odds he knows it is a canadian truck?

Why would you need a hitch reciever in the front?

A friend of mine had a hitch on the front of his Blazer. He said it made it easier to drive a boat down some ramps to launch it...

It does look pretty straight but no pics of the inside of the cab or the engine. I'm with Andy on the "Bulls*%$t call on that one...LOL!

Chuck, I've seen that on weenie mini vans for that reason, but I gotta say this, launching isn't all that hard, neither is backing down the ramp to retrieve the boat. However, I would want my drive wheels on the low end of the ramp... being front wheel drive and hooking up on the front, or real wheel drive hookin up on the back.

I was asking about the truck, not the seller`s accuracy.A couple answers:1)the hitch reciever could be used to mount spare tire, bike rack,cooler,etc.2)lots of Canadians flock to Florida(Snow Geese).I`m sure 10 made ain`t right. And`so is the 2 ton frame thingy.Maybe misprints, and he does want too much. It`s probably the "only" one in Florida.I like it and is anyone admiring the wheels and caps as much as I am?That truck is shweeet! You don`t have to be an expert to own a nice(or unusual)truck.

But it isn't unusual...just to us south of the border. Just like the pontiac Boumont. Totally frieky to us, but normal to them.

My GMC has a receiver hitch on the front. It was a Minnesota farm truck, so if that helps shed light on the mystery, so be it.

The front receiver can be useful for backing into a 90 deg angle with minimal room for manuevering since the steering response is much quicker. I've heard the boat launch idea before, but I've never actually seen someone switch ends with the tow vehicle in the parking lot.

Farmers often mounted a hitch on the front. So they could manuever wagons into the shed/barn.

That is what we had them on front for. I have never seen them launch a boat with them, but I heard that before. But I have seen them move the boats around the marine stores here with the front hitch. I like the rest think he spent to much time in the 70's and his imagination went wild on the truck description. It's a super sharp truck, but out the price range I would pay.
