Re: Anyone running the LMC new custom hood

I purchased the cowl induction AMD hood, 67-68 front for 69-72 trucks from Summit racing. Haven’t installed yet.

Re: Anyone running the LMC new custom hood

Pretty cool option. Not sure I like that the angled part of hood was narrowed and hood was flattened near fenders. LMC does not have a lot of exclusive stuff and is my 2nd to last choice to purchase parts. Pretty sure it would be available other places. Whether or not it can purchased right now is whole different deal.

Is LMC the only company to sell this hood. I’ve done some searching and come up empty.

Golden Star makes a 67-68 style hood that fits 69-72 trucks.

Did you have any issues with fitment that needed tweaking?

Re: Anyone running the LMC new custom hood

The hood fits pretty well. I’m still doing some tweaking as I mounted it using switch suspension cowl mounted hood hinges.

I like it because it's subtle. A custom touch that a lot of people wouldn't catch right off the bat.

Re: Anyone running the LMC new custom hood

I really like it. No offense to those that have them but the tall flat front on the 69-72 truck hoods is probably my least favorite thing about them.

Edit: Is the fitment and gaps as decent as it looks? Looks like the hood fits nice. I’ve wanted a cowl hood on my 68 but I’ve heard nothing but bad things on their fitment.

Re: Anyone running the LMC new custom hood

Subtle hange, and a little different look.
I kinda like it for the 71-72, but there’s no way to mount the Bow tie in the center, for a 69-70 truck,
But, but, but!
It would be cool to take the time to put the “CHEVROLET” letters on the lead edge
Lots of possibilities with this
