Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build

Here is some not so exciting progress, I stripped my new to me ac dash
and shot some epoxy on it inside and out. Then installed it went pretty smooth. Then I was able to get rocker all cut out and ready for replacment.
Its amazing how much stuff comes out of these rockers!

Awesome work you're doing! Rust repair has got to be one of the dirtiest jobs of restoring anything.

There's a fun side to restoring/building these old rigs?

X2 on this statement. I know how dang time consuming and frustrating this part of the build can be.

Keep up the hard work.

Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build

I went and picked up my wheels from the chrome shop today.
I did not have them chromed I had them dechromed only thing is their
strip tank was not big enough to fit the 22 inch wheel.
So they had to rotate the wheel and were not able to completly
remove the chrome from the center. Not a big deal just more work for me.

Im going to try and polish them,I had the front wheels stripped already
and started to polish them they are only 20's so they fit in the strip tank.
I figure if my attempt at polishing them fails I can fall back on powdercoating.
This is a pic of the wheel I started polishing.

Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build

I went and picked up my buddy buckets from storage, so of course I had to see how they fit. Looks like everthing fits good and plenty of leg room in the rear. This combo isn't set in stone so let me know what u think

Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build

Are you going to do one long continuous rocker from front to back?
