Cab to Bed spacing?

After re-installing the bed on my project Im wondering Exactly what the bed spacing is supposed to be. Ive checked the spacings given in the assembly manual but was not able to find anything on the spacing between bed and cab.
Its been too many years since I disassembled and spacing wasn't something I considered then!!
My specific interest is in a step side bed---measured at top rail to cab. Is this spacing anything anyone has measured (or would measure)?

FWIW, my K20 is a fleetside and has a 1" cab to bed gap.

In a previous thread, Leon mentioned he tries to keep his gaps at 3/4".

I just bolt bed and cab lined up with holes in frame mounts. No real adjustment provision, other than lining up even as possible before snugging up hard, and all that is tied in with front clip/door alignment. Or, I've just bolted up and drove when not trying to be perfect. Cab and core support cushions pretty much dictate location with little wiggle room.

I'm also right at 7/8" to 1". I had more trouble with the side to side alignment, but am real close

Just wanted to add an update----
I added this to my build yesterday.

I actually measured the spacing and have 5/8" on dr. side and 7/8" on pass. side. I have not snugged the mounting bolts yet so now its time to find some reference points to measure from. Having removed everything from the frame its definitely like starting all over.
When I re installed the cab I measured side to side and got it set (although Ive always felt it might be cocked a little.
On my truck at least, the cab mounting holes and the core support holes allow for some movement while the bed mounting seems a little tighter. Without the aid of a lift, moving and squaring might be more difficult (should read WILL be more difficult).
It seems like in the end Ill be hopefully at or near 1" spacing.

I measured the bed to frame dimensions front and back on both sides and found the bed to be straight. I was able to use a 3' steel adjustable clamp and slowly move the bed back. Remeasured for square then checked gap. Im not at 15/16" dr. side and 1 1/16 on pass. side. So I now have the nominal 1" gap. The rest of the out of square will have to come out of the cab to frame sitting.
