99 Tahoe Bumper Question

I just bought a 99 Tahoe and being up here in the northeast it has some rust issues. Mainly the rear bumper and the left barn door. I have found a few bumpers on Craigslist but the one thats in the best shape is off a Silverado. I just want to check and see if anyone on here knows if they are interchangeable. They look the same and it would make sense that they would be but i don't want to spend $50, $80, $100 or more and find out it won't fit. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks folks.

Re: 99 Tahoe Bumper Question

Any bumper from a c/k1500/2500/3500 from 88-98 would work. Tahoe/Yukon and suburban from 92-99(2000 for the heavier trucks).

If you get a bumper from a pick up, you will have to use he bumper brackets from your Tahoe.

A bumper from a Silverado won't work it's a completely different bumper.

The barn door would have to come from a 95-99 Tahoe/Yukon or a 92-99 suburban.
