Question big hump, low hump

What is the difference in the big hump versus low hump? Whats the application on the truck, big block small block? Need to know before I buy a cab.

The major difference is that the big hump bolts on, and the little hump is actually part of the floor.

Is there any advantage or reason that I would want one or the other? Seems like the bolt on would just add another place to rust.

If I remember correctly the low hump is about 4 inches tall while the high hump is 6 inches tall. The low hump was used it 2wd column shift trucks. While the high hump was used in 4wd or stick shift vehicles. The low and high hump is usedup to 87 I think. Because my 75 has the high hump on it.

Thanks all, one more question and I can get the hump off my mind. I have a 350 for the project 70 Im working. I would like to go BB if the money holds out. Final question, will the BB work under the low hump cab?
