It’s at a higher ceiling than aircraft can fly specially fighters. The last plane that flew at altitudes above 60k feet was the SR71 . They may have planes that fly that altitude at the moment in the military but most likely unarmed reconnaissance planes . The Raptor 22 has a curling of 65k but has to be in a vertical climb . Re: Spy Ballon

Just read it was decending and the FAA had to divert commercial flights . May have been taken out by an F22 .

Re: Spy Ballon

Biden called Xi and asked permission to shoot the balloon down. He's gonna need to borrow a few more trillion from China to kill more russians.

Re: Spy Ballon

The reason it wasn't shot down earlier was because the check from China cleared the Big Guys bank account. Now that it made it completely across the US it could be shot down. I live a quarter mile from the air force base and can't have any structures or even a flag pole over 20 foot tall but China can spy and it's no big deal..

Is your flagpole 60,000 feet up? Maybe that could have punctured the balloon.

I've mostly ignored the news on this but it seems odd that even w/o knocking it down, they couldn't disable the equipment hanging under it. I read that the payload had bits the size of a bus.

Scary thing is the current administration let it float around for so long. Many things going on the USA now are unbelievable.
