1961 Apache LB Stepside Build

New to the forums here! Found this to be one of the best for this truck. I just found a really nice builder. No rust to speak of. No patch panels.. no rust in the floors, cab corners.. needs a lot of TLC.. but a good foundation for a great build. I don't have it home yet but that should be changing in a day or so. So far the truck looks like it is on a 25 yr old restoration. All the electrical works!! The only issue with getting it running is there is water in the oil. I am hopeful that it is as simple as a head gasket.. This will be a daily driver and I will restore it slowly. I cant wait to get it home for a thorough inspection.

Here are a few pictures I snapped the day I paid it off.

I will rebuild the top end and get it running.. will work on stripping down the body and get it painted.. want to get some paint on it and redo the bed floor. Should be a nice truck when it is all said and done.

Re: 1961 Apache LB Stepside Build

Fixed the head gasket, found a trailer to match the stepside, filled both with a lot of our belongings, drove it from California to Boston MA. and sold it for 5 times what I paid for it. NEVER EVER again, 3000 miles over the Rockies in an old truck with a Stovebolt 235.. It made it, but I almost didn't
