AMEN! He was awesome.

I figured we would stay like 30 minutes, see the truck, fire it up, take some pics and be on our way.

Jeff had so much to share, and he answered so many of my questions, we were there for quite a while. It was a BLAST!

Also, he needs to get his wife on here and sell her Lady Bug Bowling Balls! They were cool!

Re: Pictures (from hot trux),....

I just wanted to post these pics of Jeff's truck from the Route 66 Mother Road Car Show, in Springfield, IL, last weekend.

This is the first real car show of any size that Jeff has taken his truck.
It's a COOL show in downtown Springfield.
Everyone leaves there vehicles parked overnight, all weekend, from Friday to Sunday.
It also brewed up a big rain storm overnight, so this was the first official time the truck got wet. (actually soaked!)

Re: Pictures (from hot trux),....

Anyone notice the underside of the hood?
All smooth, with none of the "X" bracing exposed.
Lots a subtle little things in this truck, that most don't notice.

Re: Pictures (from hot trux),....

The only three things I would have done differently, and this is just me...no disrespect of this fine truck) would have been to shave the bumper bolts, cab seam, and shave the outer cab recesses that are exposed just in front of the bed.

But, by no means do those three things take away from the outstanding build.

Re: Pictures (from hot trux),....

just wondering why you wanted to recess the radiator... it looks kinda off (in a bad way) of the notch in the core support... it looks like a heavy pole fell on your core support...

Re: Pictures (from hot trux),....

I just came across this thread and wanted to say very nice work on the truck, it's friggin' sweet in a serious way!!!
I do have one question I didn't see anywhere on here... What's up w/the a/c heater box under the hood? Is it chrome? Where'd it come from? That thing is killer.

That's a non-A/C heater box that's been chrome plated.

It would be easy to hide a Vintage Air setup under the dash,... if you wanted to.
Much cleaner than the stock A/C box.

Thanks for the quick reply Keith. I thought that's what it was but not too familiar w/the non-a/c boxes. I'm still undecided on the vintage a/c vs. stock.
Oh and for the record Keith, I caught the underside of that hood when I 1st saw it
