Want New Shortbed BED or good shape used

I would like to get a new bed for my truck. Does one company make better sheet metal than another? Or does anyone know anyone in southern California with one in decent shape?

Thank for the help

Early Classic are great people to do business with! I have Mar-K bedsides on my stepside and they are as good as G.M. The only thing I had to do was put reinforcements in for the taillight mounting.

Pat was that $1,100 shipped? Or did you go pick it up?

The truck has a bed on it now but it used to be a long bed and was cut down by the PO and I'm not to thrilled with the work.

I sent Early Classics an email. hope to hear back from them soon.

Shipping is what's going to drive the price up. Stay as close to home as possible to keep the price down. Try to deal with a local guy if possible. That way if it arrives damaged from shipment you are not eatting up shipping cost plus before you hand your money over you inspect the parts for freight dings.

I have the truck and car shop and brothers locally. What kind of sheet metal does each of them sell, brand wise?

It varies. I plan on buying my SWB bedsides from either brothers or truck shop. Pay a visit to both of them and check them out for yourself. That way you can pick up the best ones they have in stock.

Re: Want New Shortbed BED or good shape used

True, I was just wondering if the truck shops bedsides would match up well with brothers bed floor, etc....
