HOA Camoflage

I ran across a couple of ‘52 cabs last week. I was somewhat looking for a 3 window cab with original doors and found a fair deal on these two. However, when I got them home and unloaded they are clearly HOA bait. If I left them in my yard like this they’d be on me in a heartbeat!

Re: HOA Camoflage

So I made a couple of low rider wooden carts with pneumatic wheels from HF and lined them up along my fence, then covered them with military style camo netting from Amazon and they mostly disappeared. I also parked my lawn tractor with it’s own black cover in front and I think I might dodge the snoopy HOA bastards.

Good job. Right now it's 'a thing under there'. If anybody asks just tell them it's loopholes

Tell them you’re trying to catch the mountain lion that’s been hanging around with the netting

Those are some really nice pre-fab artistic storage units you picked up. Put the doors on them and you can keep those animal traps out of sight.

Re: HOA Camoflage

Clever and well concealed.

If they want to know what's under the net, just tell them you decided to try your hand at having cabbage in your yard and wanted to protect them from the elements.

100% true if not 100% accurate.

Re: HOA Camoflage

Maybe you can try that with a tent shed without getting griped at too? Good thinking on your part.

Re: HOA Camoflage

That’s a pretty good idea.
On a side note. We lived in Castle Rock in the late 60s on the road corner of 5th and Anderson. Right next to the Baptist church. My wife and I stayed there this last October and I ran a 5k in Parker.
Castle Rock sure has grown in the last 50 years.
I try to get out that way every couple of years.

I bet there were no HOAs back then

I don’t know when HOAs became a “thing” but I’m thinking you are correct. At least in those small towns back then.
I suppose the HOAs have a mixture of good and bad. Fortunately creative minds can navigate/circumvent the bad like the OP.

Nice thinking, and that area wouldn't remotely be HOA where I live, it looks nice. That said all new developments are either rent or HOA now. A travesty. Small yards, everything the same, too much for so little and snoopy (*()*&ers. Personally I'll never pay them a dime.
