Hey guys, I was going through a box of electronic bits and pieces that someone was throwing out and found these. I am wondering, what are they and what are they for? And are they something I could use, if so how does one hook them up?

Looks like the peices to hook up a amp with. Most factory radio's don't have the RCA hookups in the back of the radio so you have to buy those to turn them into RCA jacks for the Amps. I think thats what they are anyway!

Yep. You wire them into your speaker wires and it turns them into rca outputs. How many wires come out of them?

There are 3 pairs of 2. 2 white, 2 gray, and 2 brown.

yeap pull the model number off that box dude and google it etc,
simply put positiveand negative white to one speaker.. and the other color to the other speaker, the browns are typically grounds
BUT double check so
search for the company's electircal diagram, and then use T-clips so you dont destroy the harness

and those have adjustable "gain" dials in them.. set them at 3/4 not full.. when "full" on position they give a dirty signal that can ruin your components

there usally only used if you are going to do an aftermarket amp to either a stereo that is stock and doesnt have rca outputs or a aftermarket stereo that only has one or a few old base models didnt have rca outputs if you arnt using them for either of these things its pretty much useless its not going to improove your sound or anything it will simply do nothing

gray is positive front or rear right speaker
gray/black stripe is negative front or rear right speaker
white is positive front or rear left speaker
white/black stripe negative front or rear left speaker
brown is ground to eliminate alternator whine and other interferance noises
brown is ground to eliminate alternator whine and other interferance noises
the nobs on the other side are for adjustments

Ah. I'm not planning on using them cause my sound is good but I may run a single sub on my Sony Xplod deck. Thanks for the info though.

if your sony has rca pre outs already built on to the back id use those these some times sounds ok but your built in ones are going to get alot better sound with no interfernce

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
