Todays project. I'll get the 400 one.

Nice home for the compressor. Insulated and sound board. Little mud, paint, door knob and it will be done. Put a vent on the bottom also.

I put some filter material on the inside of those vents. It will help keep it a little cleaner and hopefully muffle some of the sounds that comes through the vents.

Ran about 30' of 3/4" pipe. Slopes down hill to a drain, put my moisture separator off to the side. Should work good. Now if I had a paint gun. Ordered a DeVilbiss primer gun 2.2 tip.

Re: Daverods project 66

In the past when I have had to use a paint booth I have been able to rent one for $100 or $200 from a local body shop. That may be a more affordable option for you instead of building one. Just a suggestion. I really like your build. S

Re: Daverods project 66

friend of mine had a plastic tent he made for that purpose simple frame stuck in buckets of cement with a fan into one side , you do need a paintmask with its own oxigen before going in there those paintfumes does weird things to braincells and lifeexpectancy in general

You don't think a resp. will work? I'll have to do some checking. I don't have many cells left. I guess it's ok as long as it just does weird things to them.

Re: Daverods project 66

i personally used a full facemask hooked to the shop air the compressor was standing outside the shop i had a belt to hook the shop airhose too with a small waterseperator a short armlength hose with connector for the paintgun and a reducer for the mask , it didnt allways smelled nice and you has a sour trouth afterwarths but its healtier than the paintfumes , i used to paint bigrigs in my younger days

Re: Daverods project 66

Post # 442 is really interesting but where are your headers ? Maybe they are hooker headers --That is an offenhauser in the picture also. Thought you had a Clifford intake

How about page 55 # 1353. Sorry it was lunch and I was in a rush. I think you should just get it. You won't be sorry. The headers were cheap.
