Here is a build thread for my father in laws 77 GMC where I'm adding power windows/locks and mirrors. We are using 1991 Suburban doors and 81-up interior panels but as Jeff mentioned there are dimples for where to drill. The inner and outer holes are not the same diameter-I made basic notes of this add....

Regarding the power window dimples as per 1774btcrew and gmachinz My Truck is a 79 and I know they are dimpled but seeing picture patterns for templates always helps as a backup to insure no mistakes are made

Re: 1978 gmc c35 454/th400 loaded

I have the diameters of the hole saws used and their locations.....it's not hard...locate the outer dimple as shown-drill all the way thru both panels with an 1/8 drill bit for example, then use the hole saws.

Re: 1978 gmc c35 454/th400 loaded

ok i checked out the wiring, there is a spot in the orange wire i think where you noticed. i looked over the other wires, and the only other issue i could find is this one flattened spot in the black/white wire. the rest look good to me (see 3rd pic below).

Just to help ya on a box....go to a U-Haul and get a lamp box-$5 for a box and get some packing peanuts-that's how I shipped a set recently!

thanks. the issue is more of time, i had my wife go get some boxes for me yesterday but i miscommunicated on the size. i normally go to home depot for moving boxes (the big ones are a buck and some change) but i will keep uhaul in mind for longer boxes...
