Junkman's "Scratch-Free, Two Bucket Wash Regime"

This 5-part video series covers the correct way to properly wash your car without creating damage within your paint. It does absolutely no good to repair your paint if you continue to do the things that created the damage in the first place. Incorrect washing and dust removal are the two main practices that create the swirls and scratches that you see in paint today. By following the practices in these videos, you can eliminate the possibility of creating paint damage while washing your car.

Supplies Used:

Foam Gun: Foamaster by Gilmour (half-gallon size) from Amazon.
Foam Gun Soap: McKee's 37 Xtreme Foam Formula.
Bucket Soap: The Perfect Soap from Gary Dean.
Spray Wand: Wash and Rinse by Bonaire (Walmart or Sears).
Buckets: Grit Guard (which are actually 5-gallon buckets with Gamma seal lids)
Grit Guard Inserts: Grit Guard.
Quick Disconnects: Any home improvement store.
Dryer: Electric leaf blower from Sears ($30).
Wash Mitts: Knobby wash mitt from Auto Zone.
Spray Nozzle: Multi-select nozzle from Sears.

A GARAGE WITH A DRAIN. You cannot wash your car outdoors without the soap drying up too fast and without creating a boat load of water spots on your paint. If you don't have a garage to wash in, then you need to wash at night. Any other time is just going to create water spots, even in the shade.
