65 c10 horn wiring question

I found a older thread with my exact problem but the op never said if he figured it out. I rewired the truck with a AAW harness which uses a 3 pin relay. Red 12+, green to horn and black from the horn button. I have power at red wire, neg at the green and nothing at the black, , When i press the horn the black wire goes to ground, green stays ground (shouldnt green go to 12+?)but no horn. I can cross the red and green out and horn blows so i know the wiring to the horn and my ground out there is good. When i press the button you cant hear the horn relay click but you can faintly feel it. My first time messing with a horn relay so didnt know if that was normal or not.
