Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV

Change the rear shocks on my truck and one of the bolts were frozen inside the shock. Lucky for me it was the lower one. Was able to cut it out with a sawzall that was no fun.

Started painting my new wheels today. I've had these for almost 2 years, but was waiting on needing new tires

Thanks, Andy! I didn't feel like paying to have the tires swapped over to the new wheels when I first got them, so they sat in those boxes on the shelf since

Installed KYB Gas-A-Justs to try to keep the top of my tires off the fender well. They help some over the standard Monroes, but still touch when in tight corners.

It’s hard when your truck looks so good with that stance to change it at all

So true. I have 4" drop springs I can't use because my Monroes couldn't handle them. These KYBs raise the front slightly, unfortunately, and there's still the occasional rub. Might work if I had shorter front wheels.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV

I put the doors, fenders, cowl, & cowl extensions back on the truck for the last time until final prep and paint. I still have to work on gap alignments on the cowl extensions, cowl, and hood, and I also need to block out the hood.

Have a converted short bed with an LS and a th 400. Had terrible vibration at 70 mph. Shimmed rear 2 degrees down and trans 1 degree up per spicer calculator. Problem solved

Greased all of the front end zerk fittings...didn't realize there were so many! Hopefully that will take care of my squeaking front end.
