How wide of rear wheel can I run? 1948

I have a 1948 chevy 5 window and would like an opinion on what wheel to put in the rear without modifying the frame or the inside of the bedside? What rear end works best for a deep rear wheel? please help!

Re: How wide of rear wheel can I run? 1948

Depends on the tire and the drop. I'm bagged running a 10" wide rim but I needed to add mini tubs to the bed (which I know you dont want to modify).

You could go with wider fiberglass rear fenders to run a wider rim. Just a thought.
