My Front Bumper

Need to replace my front bumper on my 69 stepside since it came off of am 83 Blazer. I want to get one that has driving lights in it or with pre-made cut outs for them. I looked around and it seems that the cheapest way to go is to buy the 71-72 front bumper since they came with stock with the lights in the bumper. Will that bumper fight my 69? every two years the front end seems to gradually become more and more flat from 67 on up. I don't want to Buy it and have it not fit then end up paying shipping and stuff to send it back. Anyone have a solution or a better idea? What looks best? Would a front roll pan look better and just hook it up with lights myself?

Re: My Front Bumper

Lmc has those cool looking bumpers with spots for lights in them as well. neat lookin.
but yes the 71 72 bumper will bolt right on to your existing brackets with no mods. but you will have to find driving lights that will look good in the parking light holes. Im sure theres a thread on here with the same dilema

Re: My Front Bumper

Some of the BB vendors also sell the one with round holes in it.IIRC you can get the lights that fit from the same vendors.

I agree about the 71-72 bumper fitting 67-70. But it won't bolt up to the existing outer brackets. The 71-72 outer brackets are longer and bolt up farther out on the bumper to clear the lights.

The parking light holes in a 71-72 bumper are 8-7/8" wide by 3-1/4" high. I don't know if any companies make a driving light that'll be a good fit in that size opening or not.
