Exclamation Help! Need exhaust advice for 69 k10 swb

Hey guys,

I've got an ole' 69 k10 sitting in my driveway. I'm looking to do some exhaust work soon, whether I do it or have it done. Anyway, I have a rebuilt 350. It's currently running dual exhaust with two separate mufflers. I'm looking to switch to a Flowmaster Super 40 and was wondering if it would be best to keep the two mufflers or do the 1-2 style they now make. I'm leaning towards keeping two mufflers, but I would appreciate some input. Also, I would appreciate recommendations for other mufflers that make it purr without drowning out conversations in the cab.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Help! Need exhaust advice for 69 k10 swb

My current set-up is 2 1/4 pipe with crossover pipe 2 mufflers (generic mufflers the muffler dude called the old geezer muffler) with the pipes turned out behind the tires. I am happy with the tone and lack of drone. My truck is a 69 GMC K10 350 4 speed. Bruce

Thanks Bruce,

That helps me out a bunch. I will definitely think about your set up. I'm really glad to hear someone else's opinion. I really appreciate your response.

Thanks,
Cooper
