Need someone local Yerington NV who can retrieve a bumper for me?

This sounds crazy maybe, but there is this guy who has this very cool rear work bumper (pictured) I want but I live in North Alabama and he's in Yerington NV. I have been blessed a few times by reaching out to the "truck buddy" crowd and asking for assistance, so gonna try that here. Someone would have to drive with my money to this guys place in Yerington, pay for the bumper and take it back home where it could be palletized so I could send a freight carrier I use frequently for such things, after it. This guy actually appears to have a bunch of pallets to boot, although I don't know if any are the longer type to work for this reasonably long bumper or not. So, may have to lean on my helper friend to find me a long pallet as well or modify one with a hammer and nails etc.

Kind of a tall order on one hand so I am happy to cover anyones time and effort of course, I just don't know any other way to get this thing and its in such awesome straight and unmolested shape I hate to pass it up if one of you lives anywhere close. Worth asking - one day you might need something from Alabama or surrounding areas and maybe I can return the favor

When I tried to ship something to Washington, my local Fastenal would not do it. They have some policy about not shipping across country was my understanding. Seemed odd, but whatever.

Maybe Greyhound. I shipped a complete radiator core support from California to Iowa. It crawled across the country, taking about 2 weeks.

Looking at this map it's 2180 miles away from you , I'm pretty sure you could have one custom built for less money than it will cost you to have it shipped ?

I have a Real (Soft Spot) for bumpers like that.

I have friends that are Employed at Fastenal.

They down their head now about the shipping here in TN.

So, it's not good in my area.

And I am not that far away from you so.

I hope you get lucky and there is a Member,
That lives close to That Bumper

I'm employed at a Job shop.

They do some fabrication.

As the Grumpy old man mentioned about having one built

If your mind is set on having one like this,
The custom built is probably your best/ Economical choice.

Is there a Welding / Fabrication shop near you?

Also, If you are in great Commnication with the seller?

I would try to ask them for as many dimensions of the bumper as they will give you.

That way you can have your own Fabricated if this deal does not go south east to your house

Like Grumpy and Getter-done said you could have it replicated at a fabrication shop . Might be about the same price . Looks like the one on my 68 I don’t really care for it but there would be a big hole in the bedside if I took it off of the truck
