Re: The Project With No Name

Hell yeah. I'm really digging the tailgate area treatment it is the perfect mix of modified and stock. I also think the squared off rear end works so much better with the dually. Are the wheels going to be powder coated aluminum, polished, or steel?

Custom cut aluminum 22 inch wheels, powder coated white, to mimic the steel 22.5 inch wheels.

That's just what I had in mind but I couldn't really tell from the rendering. I think those will take it to the next level.

thanks! I have been wanting to do a tailgate like this for a while. I feel it makes it look older even though it will be shaved and slammed. I also think the grants 3-piece roll pan will look *****in on the dually bed. It should look real fat from the backside!

Re: The Project With No Name

I was going to run steel 22.5 but i cant have them turned down to fit a 22 tire. I would have to streatch the tire and i dont feel comfy doing that. So i am gonna make a aluminum wheel look steel!

Re: The Project With No Name

Hey guys
Just wanted to chime in here. Turned out pretty good, huh? Thanks for the kind words.
The website still isn't up. I'm having a problem with my computer, I think. It will no longer let me bring anything into the builder???
I'm gonna try from a friend's tonight. IDK, we'll see.
It's a work in progress, but it will be up very shortly and it's

www.eastsidedesignlab.com

Cheese,
I just read through and saw that you are thinking about a Cummins now. You want me to remove the underhood from the rendering for the final print? It would unclutter it somewhat. Also, you want the Hill's logo in the background? I was thinking of taking there existing logo and making it look like a neon sign. Up to you. Let me know.

Re: The Project With No Name

idk if you have checked dima wheels out yet, but he makes a completely smooth 22 inch wheel for duallys, looks good and probably would be easier to cut the wheel design you want from a set of those. Hes in texas also.

Re: The Project With No Name

It means it came from the factory with no bed on it. It was built to have either a flat bed, or box, or tow truck setup on the back etc.. The rear end is usually a little narrower too.

Yep, Dima wheels. That's the guy I was trying to tell you about. I couldn't get any info, no matter how many times I googled Lima wheels

Anyway he's right around the corner from me and seems to do decent work.
If you decide to use him, let me know if my proximity can be of use.
