Yea the 66 definitely dwarf's the 67. If it were three inches taller I could back the bed under it.

Re: Body dropped 67 swb Service truck

I wouldn't even paint anything on it .. perfect, as is. The exact look so many people are after and something I think only 40+ years in the weather can create.

Make it safe, dependable and drive it !

X3 on the push bumper.

Wicked cool truck. Wish I had just done that to mine rather than blowing it all apart. Good luck on the build.

Re: Body dropped 67 swb Service truck

I made 4in lowering blocks for the rear, modified the driveshaft loop crossmember so it was flush with the frame and put exhaust holes through it. I made a raised transmission crossmember, and modified the front lower a-arms. I also modified the driverside upper arm so that the steering column would clear. It would have been driveable with just springs.

Re: Body dropped 67 swb Service truck

Love the truck, hate the front bumper! just my opinion. nice fab work and keep the crappy old patina shop truck paint, i love the paint! u need to find some spray can paint that matches the old stuff for the rockers. kinda wish i hadn't stripped half of mine and primed it but pink pinstripes on baby blue isnt exactly cool. very nice project man, maybe some wide whitewalls (silvertown) to finish it off . love it

little update

Everything is officially wired up. Valves, compressor, and tail lights, and switches. This is what's left to officially drive it. Mount shocks, install driveshaft, run trans lines, finish rear brake lines, put radiator hoses on and add fluids and set timing on motor. Hopefully Thursday ill get most of that done.
