Re: Sunvisors

In truth no one upon no one who was a real car freak would have been caught dead with a visor on the outside of his truck or car in the 50's and 60's. They didn't show up at all in general use until Lowrider Magazine started showing the East La Bomba lowriders.

I don't think that the local dealers ever sold a new AD truck with a visor on it around here. They didn't junk the trucks they sold up like dealers in some regions of the country. You very seldom ever see a hood ornament on a truck that was sold new locally either.

At least if you intend to put a visor on it go the whole route with wide whites and hubcaps rather than make it look goofy with billet 20's. Stay with the whole theme.

71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

Skip

Here are a few pics of mine. I can snap some more pics if need be or take some measurements for you if you don't have holes.

Thank you

Re: Sunvisors

Apparently passenger-side visors were optional, as I have seen some cabs that weren't even drilled for them.
