Re: help!!!

I just put (or are in the process of) putting a rear end from a 1999 s-10 blazer 4x4 4dr into mine.I believe this is the same to 2003. Mine is just under 60". The 4 drs have the sway bar mounted to the rear of the axle with the disc calipers mounted forward of the axle. I plan on using the sway as the bar mounts right under the frame rails.
2wd is 58" wide I believe.
I know I know I will be posting pictures. I keep forgetting the camera when I go to my cousins to work on the truck.

Re: help!!!

Yea I took out a 12 bolt from a p-up out of my truck. It was 64" and just too wide. The nice thing was the u-joint. Went to the local NAPA store and told them I was going from the s-10 rear end to the p-up drive shaft. 5 minutes in a conversion book and I had a u-joint. Saved me some money as I didn't have to get the drive shaft worked over. I'm going to work on it this weekend and I will try to take a camera with me.

Re: help!!!

Found the bill and it wasn't from the napa store. The part # on the bill was NEA 3-3130. I'll look at the box to find the brand name.

Re: help!!!

well, i found one out of a roll-over 03 blazer...i had them do the cross referance to see if it was the same that was used with a v-8, and the width was a 60 at the most....it has 373 gears, and is 58 wide.
so again...thank you both for all the help, but i'd still like to see those pic's if you can ....thanks brian

Re: help!!!

I used the 2 wheel drive blazer rear and wished I had used the 4 wheel drive since it's wider. I had to use spacers to get the wheels out further.

Re: help!!!

well....i havd pritty large rear tires, and don't realy whant to mod the rear frame, but if all els fails, i'll get other rim's....cal,could you post a pic of your rear end, or is your box on?....and what size are you running for tires and rim's? I have 16's in the front and big miky-t's on 15's on the end.
this is the last of the frame mods to be done before taredown and paint on the frame......looks like it will not see the road this year.....dammit!

Re: help!!!

Here’s some pictures as I was doing the install and after. The other reason you should go with the 4x4 rear is the brake calipers will rub against the leaf springs without using lowering blocks.
