HRRookie why exactly are you mounting the 4-link outside the frame rails? Are you not planning to mount a wide set of tires out back? Only you and Kim57 have real 4-links of the street variety.

You got it. I considered running a huge tire but I won't be making enough power to justify it. On top of that, I didn;t have to take out the crossmember where thr front brackets mount.

The upper or lowers? The lower is the stock S10 leaf spring perch, don't remember how long the lowers I wanna say around 35". I am 1500 miles from the truck right now or I would go measure.

Nope just a fancy shock mount.

Re: Rear custom four link pics!

Studio Jak,
I see a problem with the panhard rod being on top of the axle. The panhard rod needs to be in the middle of the arc that the axle panhard rod mount will scribe in motion. In other words, at the top of the arc, the panhard rod will be centered, at the bottom of th arc it will pull the axle to the right.
If the panhard rod was mounted on the axle centerline, it would have maybe 6-7 inches of up and down movement without appreciably pulling the axle to one side.

Re: Rear custom four link pics!

Coupeguy2001, Parkwood,

I was wondering if it was going to give me trouble. thank you for the response.

Parkwood, I like your panhard being diagonal across the fourlink. Who makes that??
Is is as sturdy as it seams?? Thats a real clean setup you have going

It's made by TCI. you're over 90% there with the set up you have now.. just get rid of the pan hard bar over the top like you have and install the bar across the bottom like i have.. Give TCI a call and you might be able to buy just the bar with the bolts and joints you need to make it fit your set up.. measure across from back to front just in case their bar is longer and they can make it to fit..
It is sturdy and easy to adjust and stays out of the way of the exhaust too.. you need the phone number let me know..wayne
