Hydro boost question

I am just curious if anybody running a hydroboost set-up has had a line blow? I tried to bleed my master cylinder, but there is no pressure on the hydro unit, so unlike a vacuum booster, the master cylinder doesn't move. I assume the accumulator would work if it had pressure, but after a few pumps, I guess the pressure in it would be released and then you would have no brakes?

Re: Hydro boost question

the hydroboost doesnt affect the master cyl stroke...it just assists it.. even with the engine not running you should still have some brakes
but ive never had a hydro line blow
did you bench bleed the master cyl?

Re: Hydro boost question

No, I didn't bench bleed it, but I have 2 hydro units here and they both do the same thing. There is no fluid in either of them and the master does not work.

Re: Hydro boost question

How do you have the lines from the pump to hydro to steering box hooked up?
