I have a pair of 4" coaxials in the door PANELS, right below the door handle. In the upper front of the rear kick panel (made from vinyl covered 1/2" plywood) I have 6 1/2" coaxials. Beyond the rear seat in a 1 cu ft sealed box I have a 12" sub. It's all powered by a 5 channel amp mounted under the rear seat. 50x4 then 200x1.

I went with a Retrosound stereo then I mounted 2 wakeboard tower boat speakers on my roll bar and am going to mount 2 small Kenwoods under the front dash.

I cut my dash back in '89 and haven't regretted it at all. I have an Alpine with iPod controls that I play music from my phone.

The Custom Autosound stereos are an OK option depending on how long you keep a vehicle. I've had 5 or 6 different stereos in my Jimmy since '87 and being able to buy whatever is the fashion at the time is nice.

I'm running a 10'' Pioneer slim in a custom made box with component speakers in the rear. Up front Lmc kick panel speakers and a Kenwood amp under the passenger seat. Not a huge system but it is crystal clear.... and still annoys the neighbors

I have a uncut dash and uncut doors. I bought a stereo and kick panel speakers from classic auto audio and I really like it. It has an I-phone connection in the glove box.

I have two custom ported boxes with JL 10s that go over the wheel well for the substage. I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do for the front stage.
