62 short step Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Greenwell Springs, Louisiana Posts: 2,882	55-59 throttle linkage Hey guys, new to this side of the forum. I have a 55 that came with a straight 6, and I swapped in a V8. The issue I'm having is obviously the throttle linkage is different. I did buy the new v8 linkage and it doesn't fit anywhere on the firewall at all. I'm thinking there is suppose to be another bracket it attaches to? Here is a pic of what I bought.
