My fuel cell rocks... from side to side ( pic )

Before I press this curve out of the bottom of the cell, is this normal/needed?

I wouldn't think so but I've been surprised before.

Shouldn't be that way, who's cell is it?
The sump doesn't look straight, but it could be the picture.

Sometimes happens when they pressure test it for leaks, does it say it has been tested ,

It is also common to get a little bit of distortion when welding a tank like that. Especially when you have the additional welding around the sump. IMO it really doesn't hurt anything. Are any of the other sides distorted?

It is a 15 gal Jeg's brand, the picture does make the sump look crooked but it is not. The bottom is the only side with a bow in it.

I'm just going to press it flat.

Re: My fuel cell rocks... from side to side ( pic )

I have mine sitting on aluminum tubing. This spaces it off the bed and I didn't have to cut the bed up too much. I only put holes in for for the fuel lines.

Make sure you don't mount it by the tabs.

Re: My fuel cell rocks... from side to side ( pic )

I would think that curve is there to allow the fuel to flow toward the sump, if you turn the level up & down is it setting flush with the bottom (I think you are holding the level on the bottom of the tank in the picture)? Does that make sense? James
