1/3 of the way there on the 71
well its getting closer. i am however installing a th-350 in place of the original 3 speed and was curious about a crossmember? any suggestions would totally be helpful i am using my 83 c-10 as a donor so if anyone knows if that crossmember would work that would be cool

You should be able to use the cross member out of the donor as I believe the frames are similar. If for some reason it won't I have the stock member out of my 72 burb that was replaced with a tubular unit that came with my front suspension. I'll give you the cross if you need it you'd just have to arange to get it or cover to have it shipped from 59804

The auto tranny crossmembers are sold here and on ebay all the time for $30-$40.
