Re: slamburban

oh wow, this is sooo sad. For you and the truck. Such a shame man, you did all that hard work and now you gotta do more. On top of getting your health back. Luckily you didn't have any kids get injured.

ditto on the 5 point or atleast a 3 point belt. I def wouldn't feel comfortable with just a lap belt.

Hope you get well.

Re: slamburban

I am glad you are mostly ok, and hope you have a quick recovery. I wish I had some chevy fenders to send you to help with the reconstruction. Your thread has helped me a ton on my build.

Oh man, I hate this for you but I'm glad you're still kicking. I hope the suburban can be repaired.

There is a bright side though if they put metal in your head you get into the fast lane in airport security like my ex brother in law!

Re: slamburban

i doing 100% better. considering i couldnt even walk 7 weeks ago. i have been doing physical therapy for 6 week straight every day. i actually severed a nerve in my eye and lost my eye sight for 2 days. the dotors said i would never see again. but after surgery and a stainless steel plate around my eye socket. i proved them wrong and have full eye sight and i am stronger then i was before before the accident. the suburban recieved about $16,000 in damage but i didnt bend or damage the frame or suspension in any way.its in a body shop right now. i may have chosen the wrong shop because in 12 day they have worked on it 3 hours. i found out that a seat belt failure was the reason why i got injured so bad. i bought some autoloc lap belts and the sliding mechanism in the belt didnt lock ,so the seat belt actually extended 2 feet causing me to hit my head and face on the roof. word to the wise dont buy autoloc seat belts they are garbage. i thank GOD my son wasnt in the suburban because the other 3 do the same thing

So glad you are doing so good. Body shop can sometimes be a pain in the a$$, hope you can get it straightened out. I've heard a lot of bad things about autoloc and that whole group of vendors......Jim

Re: slamburban

Glad you are coming back. I have had some medical situations where I was told the results would not be good and fooled them too! Never discount what your body can do with the right attitude and motivation. Hire a good ambulance chaser, I see a whole life time of pain and suffering for you (wink wink nod nod) from the belt company's negligence.
