I like the Skyjacker and I don't have any rub with 35's. These are the second set of 35's I've had on there and they are almost worn out already. The lift is the Skyjacker Softride with front springs and rear blocks. It's nice to cruise with and does ride nice but on certain roads or trails you'll want a stiffer suspension because of the wheel base being so short. It gets a little bouncy but it sure drives nice.

With your six inch lift do you wear out U joints rapidly? Back in the early eighties I had a fulltime 77 Jimmy with a 4" lift, and it seemed to go through U joints fairly rapidly, especially the front. It did see a lot of highway miles though.

Is U joint wear a problem on the 69-72 Blazers? I know they have an even shorter wheelbase then the 73 up.

My joints are fine. I run a 3/4 ton rear though.

Blazerboy72, Are those hawgs radials? I had bias hawgs on my old '71K5. I'm wondering how much better the radials are (if at all).

They are bias. I probably wouldn't have bought bias ply but I only paid $200 for the tires and wheels

The previous owner installed the lift so I don't know who made it. It rubs when I go off road. It has to be fairly severe to rub but I have cuts in my tires so I know it happens.

I just found this on the web..
It said it has a 15" lift, 15x16 wheels, and 44" boggers, or something like that..

They are Desert Duellers. I didn't really like them at first and wanted to change them out for swampers. I have since grown to really like them plus my off roading ambitions have changed. I dont' really have time to get off road too much anymore other than the dunes at Florence. I really like to go out there but I'm having to avoid it because it's rotting away my poor blazer.
