Wire routing

How are all of you routing your wires from your battery to your amp mounted behind the seat? If you come thru an opening in the firewall do you route the wire along the outside of the cab in that little channel where the dome light wire runs or just across the cab floor under the carpet? Cab floor I'd cover with dynamite type material. Just want to know what the best way to route the big 4 ga wire to where is does not show and won't cause a big lump in the carpet

Re: Wire routing

hey there -

you are correct...just got done with my audio install and this is exactly what I did. I have an amp located under the driver side and a powered sub under the passenger. the power cables for the amp and sub I ran to along/in the channel on the pass side and all the audio cables went thru the other side - worked out great. drilled a couple hole up and behind the glovebox for those power cables.

hope this helps...
