Re: Let’s see where the wind blows me

Well,
Time to hit the road again
Got my vote in
(Thank goodness for vote by mail)
Just in time to fly back east
And grab the motor home for the east to west Leg

Road trip! I want to go too. Not sure where Nantasket Beach is but it sounds like a groovy place.

Jenner should write an autobiography or make a movie. How about this for the title?

We’ll call this one
‘Rusty Bucky’

Not sure I’ve ever seen a truck that had this much deep rust
That was So consistent

We talked about that
No a/c
Probably because it was a northern state
And I posted those heater hoses
Going to the rear, under the hood
(I’ve never seen that before)

If you look at the picture closely
He told me the stretcher to the right
Can hang from those hooks on the ceiling
Just in case they had more than one patient

Re: Let’s see where the wind blows me

Interesting, I saw those hooks and was thinking Iv bag or similar. Never thought about the stretcher hanging from it. Those heater hoses are pretty interesting as well. I’ve never seen an ambulance of this vintage in that condition, seemingly still ready to go to work. Very cool.

I like that blue bull hide the coach company used. Looks like a good match!

It looks like they stripped 'Rusty Bucky' to bare metal and walked away

We had 2 of those in the PD when I first got on the job in 86 . I could have bought them cheap when they auctioned them off in 94 . Think $300 or there abouts .

I'm betting they did strip it and then they used an acid solution and sprayed it and let it rust. re pete the process until you get your desired rust look.

I wouldn't have thought those would hold a 2nd person with gear either. Maybe not a biggun like myself. Still a very cool unit. Maybe not in summer. Haha
