Question 5 vs. 7 blade.

My 87 4x4 suburban 350cid, a/c. I'm pretty sure that it's a 4 row raidator. My question is that I have a 5 blade fan, and have a extra 7 blade fan that came with my 400 sb. Would it be to my advantage to put this fan on my suburban? Also I have a external cooler for the trans. What do you think? I'm getting it ready for the trip to Piegon Forge. Thanks.

Cool

The 7 fin fan will move more air and cost more HP to turn. If the 5 fin fan is keeping your 4X4 cool keep the 5 fin. If the summer heat is a problem swap to the 7 then back to the five during the winter. The external trans cooler is a good idea. I installed one for my 700R4. The fluid runs through the external radiator and the radiator. Don't want to cool the oil too much.
