Re: where was your truck originally sold?

My truck was sold to
Charles Brarns by Royal Chevrolet in Huntsville, AL on March 20, 1972

I have the original dealer's paperwork envelove, protecto-plate, and service manual with the previous owners wrote the date and mileage of every oil, filter, plugs, and points change all the way up to 110,545 miles on May 18, 1985. On the inside cover of the envelope was 1997 engine rebuild 220,000 miles. Since the odometer is at 46,600 I am assuming my truck has 246,600 miles on it. The PO that I bout it from is either the 3 or 4th owner and I bought it in Orlando, FL. He also had a 1969 Camaro that he listing on the service manual when he had it service too.

I don't have any paperwork on the 2wd Jimmey but, I bought it in Orlando as well from from board member DownLoHoe. I wish I had more documentation on it like I do on the truck.

Re: where was your truck originally sold?

The only info I have on mine is by word of mouth from my uncle who I got the truck from. He says I'm the 4th owner and that it spent most of it's life doing hard labor on a peanut farm in Suffolk, Va, the peanut capital of the world.

Re: where was your truck originally sold?

My 72 was purchased at Mohr Chevrolet in my hometown of Dallas, TX. The original owner lived in Mesquite, TX which at the time was farm land and this a farm truck. Mesquite is now a suburb. I have protecto-plate and owners manual. I purchased from second owner around 94 or 95. They need a truck show called if this cab could talk.

Re: where was your truck originally sold?

I also have the protecto plate, warenty book that was never used, and the
orginal paper work for my 68 though it has been a while sense I have looked at it.

The orignal owners name was Lister Rose and it sat on the lot for a long time If I remeber right it was sold in 69 and had some mileage on it. ( I figured that the dealership used it as a display or a service truck) The warenty book was never used.
It was built in St Louis and shipped to Colorado I will try to remeber to look and post the dealers name.

Re: where was your truck originally sold?

I was told by the previous owner that my truck was purchased at Everett Chevrolet in hickory, nc (http://www.everettchevy.com/ ). This place aslo just happens to be my current place of employment. On a side note there is a guy that has been selling cars long enough that he may have been the salesman of my truck. But who knows..

My 72 sold new from the Chevy dealer in Broken Bow, NE. My 67 was sold by the Chevy dealer right here in Alma, NE. They didn't get very far from home!

Found the original bill of sale in the glove box with plate. Was sold by:
Voice Motor Sales
Kalkaska, MI
June 22, 1972

I checked on the net and Voice is still there as a Chevy dealership. Cool!

Mine was bought new by my grandfather in Rockdale, Texas.

There is still a Chevy dealership there, but I don't think it is the same family name anymore.

Mine was purchased new for $2910.21 from:

Murphy Chevrolet, Inc.
16 Main St.
Canton, NC 28716

I have the original bill of sale and the paperwork for when it was sold to the second owner in 1971. I've also got some workorders for warranty repairs, the owners manual and protect-o-plate book.

Well I don't have anything on Paper that backs this up, but the dealer emblem I removed from my tailgate sez "ALEXANDER CHEVROLET Woodbury, TN" And I'm pretty sure it has been on there forever!

Re: where was your truck originally sold?

My '67 came from Campbell Chevrolet in Centralia, WA. Sadly, the original owner's widow had thrown out all the paperwork on the truck when I bought it. It still has the dealer sticker below the tailgate.

My father's 71 CustomCamper/20 was bought brand new by my grandfather in 1972 as a dealer leftover. He still has all the documentation for it right down to the window sticker. It was from a dealer in East Olympia, I don't recall the name.

My dad bought it in December 1968 from Holiday Oldmobile-Buick-GMC in Roseville, CA. They are not there anymore. My mom says they paid almost $2,800.
