Wires to remove ?

Does anyone have a list (or know where to find a list) of wires to remove from a stock 1963 GMC wire harness for a LS1 install?

Thanks,

Re: Wires to remove ?

Would it be easier to get a Stand alone harness?

If that's not in your budget or not your preference,
I am sure someone on here has done this.

Re: Wires to remove ?

This truck I am working on is unmolested, very clean stock wiring. With that being said do you think I should swap it out because it is 57 years old ?

Re: Wires to remove ?

Depending on the level of you build (daily driver ---Nice----Show Quality).

I would consider a full harness swap with a stand-alone engine harness.

X2 on that, especially with an LS swap. You will want the reliability. and peace of mind with all the money your spending to do the LS.

Old wiring has lots of resistance in it. It comes with age and unseen corrosion.

OK
I feel the same, you pushed me off the stump

I want to start the PU and make sure things are correct, while I am waiting for a quality kit to arrive, does anyone know which wires to eliminate under the hood ?
