CST Blazers vs. Base Model Blazers

Just curious, it seems like I see a lot more CST Blazers than I do plain ole base model Blazers. Does anybody who is familiar with the production numbers know if there were more CST Blazers made? Also, what do you all prefer, base model or CST?

I don't think there are any production numbers--at least that I have heard of.
The CST was better, because it has more options. Depending on the year, you got exterior lower trim, and some interior woodgrain. 69/70 and 71/72 were different. Most loaded (Tach. A/C, Tilt) Blazers were CST model.

There are a lot of CSTs out there, but in my experience, I see more non CSTs overall.

CST Trucks were more like cars -- standard interior carpeting, etc. than trucks.

I've seen some numbers somewhere, but I don't recall if it was the GM resto pack or a book. If I can find them, I'll post them.

I think the other thing you have to remember with these trucks was back then it was a lot more pick and choose than today. Today you get a package and most of the options are in a package. Example I have a 70 cst blazer power brakes/A/C Dooredge Guards, Factory Rollbar tons of options. I have a 71 Cst blazer non a/c NO Powersteering. I had a 72 Base model A/c Tilt/Tach OutsideTire carrier LOADED. I think you had a lot of made to order blazers
