Hmm, that a weird area for it to rust. I think your best bet is to forget patch panels, just go to a sheet metal place and get some flat sheets cut to the right size. Or find a pickup floor in the junkyard and get the pieces you need from it, the floors are the same, only the Blazers have the back part hacked off and folded
up.

We had to replace those areas in our blazer too. My husband got some sheet metal and then had it "bead rolled" (thats what I think he called it) It's where they put rolled lines in it so that it is stronger than just plain sheet metal. Circle area is what we replaced, and the arrow shows the rolled line.

I was told the perch for seats was a little higher or or can't remember for a pickup. Not sure if thats true or not . I have the same problem you have with both of my blazers neither is as bad as yours. But I saw a blazer on ebay where the windsheild frame was for sale emailed about that area got the entire pan 6 inches in front of the seats all the way back to knee wall/ rust free. Thats alot of bends and rolls to make plus the hardware for your seats /belts to bolt into try find a used pan or pieces and piece it together just a thought

meathead - where did you get the panels? I'm going to need to replace my driverside floor and I don't want to end up with the same problem as you.

Bouncy- I got mine thru Frank (Pickmup) They worked good. He is located in Olympia- maybe you and the wife and kids need to come see him on a Sat and swing by and look at our blazer.

I'd love to but it is just me and the baby on Saturdays. My wife works weekends so we don't have to put baby girl in daycare as much. I'm thinking about a trip down there to get some parts soon though. It is time to start thinking about working on the Blazer again...

could you make due using a truck floor? I just cut up a truck cab and the area where yours is bad seems ok on mine.
If so I'd be happy to send you some digi's of what I have.
