Is this worth the trouble?

Engine in the 97 tahoe expired. The tahoe is 4wd with a 4l60E. I have a Carbarated LT1 in may garage. It is a crate motor. Is it worth the trouble to drop it into the tahoe?

Re: Is this worth the trouble?

Have you considered just replacing the engine with an identical new one?

I'd say yes, but how are you gonna control the trans? Everything is computer controlled...

Re: Is this worth the trouble?

Considering the LT1 can be a 70's Gen I, a 90's Gen2, or a current Gen III+, saying LT1 doesn't tell us too much lol.
