Posies Super Sliders

Folks, looking at replacing my 65 year old leaf springs on my 56 3100. Does anybody have experience with Posies Super Sliders? Do you like them? Did they soften the ride for you. I have tried dry teflon spray lube and it will work for a couple of drives, then back to the old rough ride. Always appreciate any other ideas for springs. Thanks.

Re: Posies Super Sliders

i pulled my rear springs apart, sandblasted, por15 and reassembled with nylon sliders between the leaves
i removed the 2 short overloads and added air shocks for a very pleasant ride

Bosco, I don’t have feedback for you, but I’m interested in these too. Looking forward to others comments.

Re: Posies Super Sliders

The old service manuals talked about squirting kerosene onto the springs on the old trucks and cars. I bought a set of Teflon (I think) spacers for my '56 Chevy wagon, and it did ride a lot smoother. I spray Teflon on my truck's rear springs, but once I replace them (they are getting worn) I'll be putting some lubricating spacers in.

Re: Posies Super Sliders

I use Speedway springs with teflon sliders. Bargain-priced and they don't have those bumps in the leaves.

Did it make much of a difference in the ride?

I don't know because I put them on the truck when I built it; I never drove it with anything else.

Do you have a link for the leaf springs? I went out to Speedway Motors and the only rear springs they have are Posies. Thanks.

Here's a link to the Speedway "SuperGlide" springs for TF trucks, but yeah, only fronts.

https://www.speedwaymotors.com/shop/...57-16-314-7544

I see they're still selling the spring liner in rolls if you want the cheap route:

Re: Posies Super Sliders

Will update thread when the work is completed. But, I did decide to go with Western Chassis (or POL as they are the same set) 3" drop leaf springs as they are local.
