'60 3 Speed Transmission

See the slot in the shifting fork on the left? See the wear on the right side of the slot? Will that cause problems in the shifting? I have a couple of these old three speeds around here and they both look the same. Seems like these speeds are getting hard to find in decent shape anymore. We used to toss them back in the late 70's.

What material is that made of? Can it be re-fabricated?

Tonight when I got home from work I googled around and found out it is a Muncie 318. I found the piece NOS and its on its way.
