If you are starting with a rebuilt tranny, and converter...clean out your tranny dooler with some brake cleaner and compressed air, then put in Type F. This stuff is actually better then the dextron stuff.
However, if you are just doing an oil chainge on an existing tranny, or reusing an old verter...go with the aformentioned Dextron 3.

If you are doing a transmission flush I recommend Amsoil transmission fluid. It is 100% sythetic ATF and meets or exceeds Dextron II and Dextron III, Ford and Chrysler type fluid recommendations. They also have Supershift Racing transmission fluid too. You can get it from me or go to www.amsoil.com and order for yourself.
