best rear suspension for air ride

I am planning on installing air ride on my 66 c10. I have an ls1 engine and 4l60e trans ok go in it. I am looking for a setup for the rear end of my truck that works with the air ride suspension and that will hold up to daily driving. Maybe a little track time. Im looking at triangulate four link or just a four link suspension. Anyone have any pros or cons to either of these?

Re: best rear suspension for air ride

In my opinion, I would stick with the trailing arm setup, as it will offer a good ride, and I think perform well for the occasional track use. Not that there is anything wrong with a 4-link, but your truck is already setup with a great basis for an air ride setup.

I would suggest the Porterbuilt Stage 2 Basic kit, or the upgraded Deluxe version that comes with tubular trailing arms & trailing arm crossmember.

Priorities,

1. How low do you want the truck to go ?

2. Is the track road racing or drag racing ?

3. How wide are your rear tires and wheels going to be...?

4. What suspension do you currently have ?

After we know what you want then we can offer better advise.....Kieth
